  • My Windows 10 laptop was taking 20 minutes to re-start both after Sleep-mode and System Restart. It appears that lowering my virtual memory down to the recommended decreased my system restart time to 3 minutes and the sleep-mode restart decreased to 12 minutes. One other thing that worked: I removed the log-in with password setting after sleep mode and voila as soon as I woke my pc up it immediately re-started within seconds!
I have been dealing with this issue for three months now. Thanks for this video because after all sorts of experiments your video ultimately led to solving my problem.

  • Thanks for this tipps! But on my system the biggest "slow boot" problem are the hard drives. Windows is running on a SSD but all the rest of data is on regular hard drives via SATA III. If I unplug all the hard drives except the Windows SSD, the boot time is about 20-30 sec but with the hard drives its about 2-3 minutes. Do you know a setting which boot the hard drives right after the start from Windows?

    Thanks for your help!

  • one computer build 8 gigs of ram 20 sec, start up ….another 16 gigs 30 sec. another 64 gigs m.2 fast 2tb drive 1 min. this did not fix it , the more ram you have the longer it takes ? I don't know, for some people with problems everyone should have solid state drive and sometimes it's good idea to install fresh windows
